New Call of Duty & Guitar Hero Games in the Works
Activision is tight-lipped about the details and release dates but did confirm that new titles will be coming in the Guitar Hero and Call of Duty franchises.
Activision Publishing CEO Mark Griffiths said “There will be a full slate driven by our strongest brands” referring to the 2009 fiscal year (which begins mid-2008) Also, there will be additional downloadable content for the current titles: Guitar Hero III and Call of Duty 4. There were no details on the upcoming Call of Duty release but it was mentioned that the franchise was coming to PlayStation 2 and Wii this year.
Between April 1 and June 30, 2008 will see the release of two new Guitar Hero games. Mark Griffiths said the games would be, “across a broadening platform base, new headline rock bands, new hardware innovations, and deeper international growth.”
Activision will also be expanding its market in Europe and Asia, namely Korea and China in the coming year.
